Orange county SUMMER BAND camp
Located right of the I-5 freeway in sunny San Clemente CA, Power Plant Records and the Beach Cities Rock Club Music school is excited to re-launch our Music Video Band Camp! Instructors will show students the ropes of how to play and communicate in a group confidently and proficiently. A live drummer (Student or Teacher) will be at various points in class. We’ll be playing songs from the get go; unpacking song structure, chart reading and playing dynamics. Students will be treated as musicians working on a team to accomplish collective goals. Once students learn to flow as a group, we will be documenting their progress by filming and recording their song! Enrollment is limited, so be sure to sign up today to reserve your kid’s spot in the band! Guitar? Bass? Sax? Violin? Any & all instruments welcome! Space limited!

Learn a Song
Playing in a band is awesome! The first phase of our camp is focused on taking a group of young players and helping them organize into a coherent band by teaching them a song together. Kids learn about various instruments, how their parts interact with the rest of the song, and how to be a productive part of a group.
Record
The next step is to record the audio track. This is when all the hard work starts to pay off. Kids learn about the techniques used in audio recording and gain experience preforming in the studio.
MAke a Video
Finally, we get to film an original music video! Filming days are some of the most exciting. Kids get to contribute creative ideas and execute them on set. They become the star of the show and end up with their own music video that they can keep for life!
