We offer a unique blend of vintage vinyl treasures and the vibrant sounds of local talent through our Beach Cities Rock Club music school. Join us at Stuft Pizza's spacious venue across the parking lot for a series of exciting musical events, starting with our monthly open mic on the 1st Friday of every month, commencing November 3rd, 2023. Performances are a great way to boost motivation and give students an opportunity to show what they’ve accomplished. Some schools make their students participate in recitals, but to us they have always felt fake and offer only a surface level achievement for the student; Just checking a box.
That’s why we let our students choose whether to perform publicly in an open mic event hosted by us, or to have their own private recording session in our in-house professional studio. We believe giving students the freedom choose the way in which they perform lends toward more a authentic and rewarding experience.
Set your goal.
Set a goal
Goals are everything when it comes to measuring success in music. There are many small stepping stone goals and then there are big goals. Performing in an open mic or recording a track make excellent seasonal goals. We’ll help you to choose and arrange songs to best showcase the skills you acquire in your lessons.
Make a Plan
A practice plan is a roadmap to success. We’ll help you establish a plan that will breakdown a challenging task into bite sized chunks that can be accomplished on after another. Then we combine all the pieces together into a complete work. The last phase of the plan is always to polish it up with extra rehearsal to make sure your performance will shine.
Execute
Time to realize all off your hard work. Whether you’ve chosen to play at our open mic or record your song in the studio, it will surely be a satisfying and rewarding moment. You’ll know that you’re well prepared and ready to accomplish the goal you set. This is one of our favorite days of the season, because students prove to themselves that they have what it takes to achieve whatever they set their mind to.
